Raising money for charity

We have been involved in many different charitable projects throughout the years, supporting and giving back to our local community, as well as projects further afield.

In 2021, we established the Skerritts Charity Committee. The focus of the committee is to help our team engage in charitable money-raising activities for three local charities. All the money raised by the committee is matched by us.

The three charities we are supporting in 2023 are:

The Wave Project

Over the past 10 years, surf therapy has become an established form of therapeutic support for both mental and physical health. The Wave Project is on a mission to improve the mental health and wellbeing of young people through the power of surf therapy.

St Francis Hospice

St Francis Hospice specialises in providing care for people across Essex, from any faith or cultural background, who have been diagnosed with a serious illness. St Francis Hospice offers experienced, compassionate advice and support.

Taylor-Made Dreams

Taylor-Made Dreams enables children with life-limiting illnesses to achieve their dreams. Their objective is to allow children and their families to experience unique quality time and experiences together, which may not have otherwise been possible.

We are also engaged in the following charitable initiatives:

We are a proud main sponsor of the Russell Martin Foundation

We have been RMF’s main sponsor since 2018. Our funding has contributed towards free membership of the Russell Martin Academy for 45 families, providing children with opportunities in football. Our sponsorship also helped RMF provide food for 270 families during the Covid pandemic.

We sponsor the Hove Methodist Church Christmas Lunch

For many years, we have sponsored the yearly Christmas lunch at Hove Methodist Church. Located nearby our head office, the church has been serving Christmas Day lunch to hundreds of people in need for the past 48 years. We are delighted to be part of this wonderful initiative.
