Press Release — Ambrose Fisher
Skerritts Group continues growth with the purchase of the Kent based Financial Planning Firm, Ambrose Fisher
Skerritts are Chartered Financial Advisers and Wealth Managers with their Head Office in Hove. In March 2021, Sovereign Capital Partners, a UK Private Equity Buy & Build specialist completed a significant investment in Skerritts worth £55 million. The objective of the investment is to develop and expand Skerritts as a business through a strategy of organic and acquisitive growth. Prior to Sovereigns’ backing, Skerritts had made nine acquisitions. A more ambitious plan has now been introduced to help with growth. Over the last 18 months, Skerritts completed six acquisitions,
adding new offices in Kent, Hampshire and London.
Today we are delighted to announce the completion of another acquisition, Kent-based Financial Planning Firm, Ambrose Fisher. This will further extend Skerritts’ presence in the region, as the group looks to continue to grow.
Paul Feeney, CEO of Skerritts says:
“Adding a high-quality chartered financial planning firm such as Ambrose Fisher to the group enables us to not only increase our presence in the South East, but also moves us one step closer to becoming Britain’s premier chartered financial planner. We very much look forward to working with Simon and welcoming him to our great team at Skerritts.”
Simon Fisher, Director of Ambrose Fisher says:
“I have spent some considerable time looking thoroughly at potential companies that could ensure that we are fully resourced and are able to continue to offer the full range of services to our clients. I have also been taking a longer-term view with regards to succession planning. It was obvious that Skerritts are the best choice for the safeguarding of our clients’ financial future.”
The purchase of Ambrose Fisher brings in an additional £62 million of AUM and brings the number of deals that the Skerritts Group has completed since the Sovereign investment up to seven.
